So I made my very first meal in my brand new Le Creuset dutch oven last Sunday! Sunday Night Stew! Courtesy of the ever-amazing Ree Drummond aka the Pioneer Woman ! The result was probably one of the best stews I’ve ever did stew! Maybe it was in my head but I felt that the pot was soooo heat retentive, perfect for slow cooking meat. And with some creamy homemade mashed potatoes on the side…it was divine! Great for a Sunday night when you have a few hours before dinner free. And then you can have leftovers all week! Oh oh and I’ve been mashing my own potatoes for awhile but I just discovered the secret to EXTRA creamy potatoes…a dash of whipping cream! Do it, you won’t regret it!
