Truffled Mashed Potatoes
Let’s fancy up the typical mashed potatoes and add our favorite subterranean mushroom, truffles! If you’ve never tried truffle oil in anything, you are certainly missing out. It’s a indescribable taste you just have to try. Put in a few drops into your homemade mashed! You can find truffle oil at many higher end grocers at a reasonable price!
Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip
A little twist on the traditional cranberry sauce. Serve this great Cranberry-Jalapeno Cream Cheese dip to your Turkey day guests as they wait for the grand finale.
12 ounces fresh cranberries
4-5 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely diced
1 cup sugar (more or less to taste)
1/2 teaspoon cumin
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (from about 1 large lemon)
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 (8 ounces each) packages cream cheese, light or regular, softened
Crackers, for serving
Blend the cranberries until coarsely chopped. Add the rest of the ingredients together except for the cream cheese. Spread the cream cheese evenly on a large plate and pour the cranberry salsa over. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips and enjoy!
